Freedom Prayer is a way to open the door to deep emotional and spiritual healing and freedom through the power and authority of Jesus Christ.
Do you long for more peace in your life, a closer walk with God and better relationships with others? Do you experience things like worry, fear, anger, feelings of anxiety, despair or depression, grief or loss, shame or guilt, hurts, unwanted thoughts or desires, or compulsions or addictions, or are you having difficulty with an area of sin in your life? Freedom Prayer is a way to take such things to the Lord and seek lasting relief from Him.
All of us have had painful life experiences. As a result we may have unresolved hurts or anger and we may struggle with hurtful beliefs such as: “It’s my fault,” “I can never do it good enough,” “I’m not wanted,” “I’m not loveable,” “I’m dirty,” “There’s no hope,” “I’m going to die,” “I can never be forgiven,” “I’m all alone,” and the like. We do not usually realize we are believing things like this emotionally or how these beliefs affect us. We may simply believe these things are true, if we are ever aware of them. Or we may know at some level that they aren’t true, but we may struggle with them anyway. Either way those hurtful beliefs have an effect on us and so do any unresolved hurts or anger that we may still have in our hearts, even if we try to keep them hidden there.
Jesus invites us to take our burdens to Him and seek relief from Him. Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
